Welcome to the Sunday AM edition of the Park Slope Walk. We want to give you some reading you can lean back with, and we want to help you make some plans for the week.

Get Involved

🗳Participatory Voting Today At The Old Stone House: “Participatory Budgeting … allows everyday people to engage with their government and decide how their public dollars are spent. In New York City, our city government sets aside a portion of the budget that individual Council Members can decide to use for PB. Every day people in those districts can submit ideas for projects they’d like to see, vote on their favorites, and ensure their priorities get funded by their public dollars.”(11:00 AM, Old Stone House)

  • 🗳🎶Participatory Grooving At The Old Stone House via Brooklyn Conservatory of Music: “To celebrate grassroots democracy, BKCM faculty member, touring drummer and music educator Deric Dickens will be playing at the kickoff event for Participatory Budgeting Week outside the Old Stone House on Sunday, March 30 from 11am-12pm.”(11:00 AM, Old Stone House)

  • There’s a whole zine you can read out the process and what’s on the ballot here: Monday for school, neighborhood programs, and more.
