From their FB: “Late Friday night, BKCM and arts organizations around the U.S. received notice that our National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) funding is being terminated on the grounds that our grant’s purpose – ‘to support instrumental music programs for youth’ — no longer aligns with the administration’s priorities.” (BKCM on FB)
💵$1.5M in Projects Announced as Part of Participatory Budgeting: Voting at the neighborhood level works: The vote totals to award the grants below are the biggest ever, and they’re still smaller than than the number of subscribers this humble newsletter has. Thank you to everyone who decided to #GetInvolved in March when we (and Council Member Hanif and other local institutions) were pushing folks to GOTV!
